THE BEATNUTS - THE ORIGINATORS
The Beatnuts "The Originators" Album Review
Good, but not great
First of all, I wanna say that I doubt The Beatnuts will ever make an album like Musical Massacre again. It was their "Illmatic", a modern masterpiece in which Juju & Psycho Les came with their best beats to date and did what most rappers cannot, which is not just pile songs on a CD, but make a full, complete & well-rounded album. That being said, I even think the Nuts' last LP, Take it or Squeeze it, is better than this but as always, the beats are so original and well made (especially Originate, co-produced by the master Large Professor) most people can tell the Nuts really know how to dig in the crates for original & crazy funk music. No weak futuristic, keyboard-based rhythms here, these boys really sample dope loops and drums that are their trademark. Overall, nowhere near what the boys are capable of, but worth getting to either complete your Beatnuts collection or here some great production.
MC REN - KIZZ MY BLACK AZZ
MC Ren "Kizz My Black Azz" Album Review
west coast classic yes
ren was hardcore to the fullest too bad he did'nt suceed when nwa broke up unlike cube, and dre even eazy had more fame when nwa broke up ren was forgotten about but still behind the scenes was my favorite about a girl who acts stuck up then ren and his boys rape her and her dad walks in And she starts screwing her dad I loved it I like nasty girls like dat anyway loved how the girl was calling her dad at the end and the rudy ray moore sample made it official the girl sold her soul and became a prostitute my favorite kind of woman miss those old days.
Video mc ren - final frontier
Born and raised in Compton, California, he joined up with the gangsta rap group N.W.A. while finishing his senior year at Dominguez High School. He contributed vocals on the Straight Outta Compton (1988) album and soon found himself a much more valuable member of the group after Ice Cube departed in 1989. N.W.A. became the first gangsta rap group to gain mainstream success. However, as their album Efil4zaggin, backwards for Niggaz 4 Life, reached the #1 spot on Billboard in 1991, financial conflict between Dr. Dre and Ruthless Records led to the group disbanding. Group member Eazy-E was accused of skimming money along with the group's manager. Dr. Dre left to help form Death Row Records. MC Ren subsequently released his debut album with the help of Eazy-E in 1992, entitled Kizz My Black Azz
