JADAKISS - KISS OF DEATH
Jadakiss "Kiss of Death" Album Review
A lot better than the first
I always thought Jadakiss was solid(even when he was on Sadboy). His freestyle is nasty but he showcases his rawness here and there and not through the whole album. Kiss The Game Goodbye was good but this album is a lot better. Standout Tracks: WHAT YOU SO MAD AT, SHINE(DJ Quik and Snoop's verses were fire), BRING YOU DOWN, TIMES UP, WHY(the best track on here), REAL HIP HOP, STILL FEEL ME, BY YOUR SIDE GETTIN IT IN, AIR IT OUT(the second best track on here), WELCOME TO D-BLOCK and KISS OF DEATH. Filler: U Make Me Wanna(featuring Mariah Scarey) is the worst girlie record since.......Ja Rule's Mesmerized! Hot Sauce To Go is superdull and even though he said some things of truth in Im Going Back the crummy Atlantic Starr sample makes me sick to my stomach! Bottom Line: Kiss Of Death is arguably Jadakiss's best effort. Most of the production was great and Jada sounds a lot better here than he sounds on his first album. Now if he can only refrain from making tracks with brain dead bimbos like paris hilton.

SPICE 1 - THE RIDAH
Spice 1 "The Ridah" Album Review
Just Not The Same Spice 1
Spice 1's first five cd's were nothing short of incredible. Each one had several moments that just blew you away and made you wonder how the man put out such high quality material every time he went into the studio.Immortalized was a strong effort as well that included a couple of firsts for Spice. One was his cover of the Cube classic "Can't Fade Me";which I feel he did very well.Next was his first sex song. Now this was when I started to feel that even Spice 1 was feeling his game was getting stale. This, the "East Bay Gangster",rhyming about sex?I thought the sex and pimp talk was up to Too Short.I know he definately sounds more natural at it.That leads to my biggest problem with the newer Spice 1 material. He needs to give up the sex raps, they just dont fit the image he had built for himself over the first five cds.Spice has obviously lost some of his fire, even the most diehard fan would have to admit that. His beats and hooks just arent quite as good as they use to be.Thats not to say that he still doesnt shine sometimes, like on tracks like "Cutthroat Game".A song about the nasty recording industry. This song has a great beat and strong lryics."Still Here" and the previously unreleased "U Gotta Take It(One Day At A Time) with 2Pac are also strong points. The rest of the cd is mostly listenable, but just doesnt pack the same punch as his older stuff.Oh,and if you're wondering about his other stuff since leaving Jive, its pretty much the same story.A few stong points, but just average after that.My suggestion is to eihter find a way to make a best of compilation of your own or wait until April 4TH and the his post Jive best of.
